Hello, I’m Gokul Sree Chandra, an enthusiastic learner and practitioner in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. I’m currently pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at GITAM, with a deep interest in building language-aware AI systems.

My journey began with a curiosity for how machines understand human language, which led me to explore NLP techniques like text classification, Transformers, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). I’ve worked with libraries such as PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Hugging Face, and continue to build projects that strengthen my skills.

From participating in hackathons to collaborating with peers, I’m committed to becoming a skilled NLP engineer — one who can turn unstructured language into intelligent action.

My Projects

Sentiment Analysis on IMDB Dataset

Used the pre-trained Sentence-Transformer (all-MiniLM-L6-v2) to generate sentence embeddings and built a fully connected PyTorch neural network to classify reviews as positive or negative. Processed 50,000 IMDB reviews and achieved 80.24% test accuracy, demonstrating transfer learning’s effectiveness in sentiment analysis.

SkillCheck – AI Skill Evaluator

Developed SkillCheck, a Flask-based web application utilizing Groq API to evaluate user skills and improving learning outcomes. Integrated a Large Language Model (LLM) via Groq API, providing personalized AI-driven feedback, enabling learners to optimize their study approach 100% of the time. Used Flask for backend, Pandas for data preprocessing, Groq API for LLM integration.

Head Of Operations (Technical Internship, Full Time)

Young Compete (Remote, India) | July 2024 – January 2025

Developed 3+ tech projects, including Prof Connect, enabling streamlined networking for 1,500+ students and teachers.
Automated data scraping from 5 sources for the off-campus placements page, utilizing APIs, and improved access rate by 30%.
Led a team to deliver technical solutions and organized events, focusing on user engagement and community building.

Organized 6+ ”GAAC-MasterClasses” for Gitam Aero Astro Club (affiliated with MIT, Boston), achieving 60+ attendees per session, focusing on technical education and aerospace topics.
